Text Book : Computer Networking, a Top-Down Approach, by J.F. Kurose and K.W. Ross, Addison-Wesley, the 4th edition (or the 3rd edition).
Grading Criteria
4 Assignments: 50%
Midterm Test: 25%
Final Test: 25%
Note: Students must pass both tests in order to pass the course.
Students are advised to be fully aware of the Academic misconduct and plagiarism Policy(PDF).
Students are strongly advised to TURN-OFF their cellular phones during lectures - under no circumstances they should ring during a lecture.
Students are expected to attend each lecture. In case you miss a lecture, it is your responsibility to find out about the contents of that particular lecture from your classmates and act accordingly.
Assignment Late Policy: All assignments are expected to be submitted on time on the specified due date. A grace period of 1 hour after submission time is provided, after which the assignment will be declared as being late. Late submission will be penalized as the following, within 24 hours, penalty - 10%; between 24 to 48 hours, penalty - 20%; between 48 to 72 hours, penalty - 30%; after 72 hours, penalty - 100%.
If you are unable to submit assignments on time due to illness or an emergency situation, please inform me with proof of illness or emergency. No make-up assignment will be given, rather the submission deadline will be extended.
