Software Installation

For the course and assignments, we would be using a Linux Operating System and an IDE to write C programs, So let’s start with deploying Linux on your host operating system (if you are already using Linux, then you can skip the following text). There are various methods to install Linux, and you can choose either that works best for you and is compatible with your operating system (OS).

This document refers to the most current versions of IDEs as of this writing. Note that different computer setups and different versions mean that the appearance of the screenshots in these documents may not match exactly your computer system.

The following steps will assist you to install VSCode on your computer.
